September 2nd - First Friday & the DPI Hot Dog Eating Contest

Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. and Brown Mazda, Mitsubishi, Honda, and Isuzu Truck invite you to kick off September with a bang! Starting September 2nd from 6p.m. until 9p.m. there will be an abundance of activities and entertainment for all ages...Chortie the Clown, Unicyclist Pat Bruen, YMCA Fun Bus, Art Alley, and the Toledo Gem and Rockhound Club! The Perrysburg Fire department will also be providing fun activities for kids including fire truck tours.

For the first time ever, the Huntington Bank stage will be host to Downtown Perrysburg, Inc.’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. The contest begins at 7p.m. and contestants will have ten minutes to devour as many hot dogs as possible. All hot dogs have been generously donated by Swig of Perrysburg. The winner will be presented a trophy and featured on Downtown Perrysburg, Inc.’s social media outlets and News & Events e-Newsletter.

This is the fourth of the five part series that will be held on the first Friday of every month now until October. Downtown Perrysburg is transformed into a festival atmosphere with fun for the whole family! The event spans from Front to Third Street with entertainment lined up and down the sidewalks of Louisiana Avenue.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, Brown Automotive (Mazda, Mitsubishi, Honda, Isuzu Truck), Huntington Bank, and Welch Publishing. It is through their generous donations that our First Friday series is available to the community!

A First Friday and Car Show THANK YOU!

A HUGE thank you to all who came out for Downtown Perrysburg, Inc.'s First Friday and our 11th Annual Cruise by the River!

Thank you to all who helped out with First Friday and the Car Show this weekend! We had over 30 vendors show up for First Friday, soaked a few good sports in our dunk tank, climbed the Camp Storer climbing wall, and burned a few calories dancing on the Huntington Stage with the Dance Factory. The Car Show was a hit! Just over 180 cars rolled into downtown Saturday morning. Thunderstorms hit around 1:30, but awards were handed out just in the nick of time.

Thanks again to our First Friday Sponsors: Brown Automotive, Huntington Bank, and Welch Publishing!

To our Car Show sponsors, thank you for supporting another great DPI event - and a special thank you to Skotynsky Financial for providing the Hospitality Suite!
