September 2nd - First Friday & the DPI Hot Dog Eating Contest



Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. and Brown Mazda, Mitsubishi, Honda, and Isuzu Truck invite you to kick off September with a bang! Starting September 2nd from 6p.m. until 9p.m. there will be an abundance of activities and entertainment for all ages...Chortie the Clown, Unicyclist Pat Bruen, YMCA Fun Bus, Art Alley, and the Toledo Gem and Rockhound Club! The Perrysburg Fire department will also be providing fun activities for kids including fire truck tours. 

For the first time ever, the Huntington Bank stage will be host to Downtown Perrysburg, Inc.’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. The contest begins at 7p.m. and contestants will have ten minutes to devour as many hot dogs as possible. All hot dogs have been generously donated by Swig of Perrysburg. The winner will be presented a trophy and featured on Downtown Perrysburg, Inc.’s social media outlets and News & Events e-Newsletter.

This is the fourth of the five part series that will be held on the first Friday of every month now until October. Downtown Perrysburg is transformed into a festival atmosphere with fun for the whole family! The event spans from Front to Third Street with entertainment lined up and down the sidewalks of Louisiana Avenue.

A First Friday and Car Show THANK YOU!


A HUGE thank you to all who came out for Downtown Perrysburg, Inc.'s First Friday and our 11th Annual Cruise by the River!

Thank you to all who helped out with First Friday and the Car Show this weekend! We had over 30 vendors show up for First Friday, soaked a few good sports in our dunk tank, climbed the Camp Storer climbing wall, and burned a few calories dancing on the Huntington Stage with the Dance Factory. The Car Show was a hit! Just over 180 cars rolled into downtown Saturday morning. Thunderstorms hit around 1:30, but awards were handed out just in the nick of time.

11th Annual Cruise by the River Classic Car & Bike Show



Each summer Louisiana Avenue is closed to through traffic, and area car enthusiasts flock to the downtown area to get a close view of the nearly 300 classic antique and specialty cars proudly displayed by their owners. 


ONLY TWO DAYS AWAY!! Saturday, August 6th from 9am-3pm. Day of registrants can show up as early as 7 am to get registered and situated. Day of registry is $15.

Outdoor Movie Night = HUGE success!

This past Monday's Outdoor Movie Night brought more than 200 people to Downtown Perrysburg. We featured the movie Tangled on the side of Shutter Love Studio on 2nd st. The movie was enjoyable for both the kids and adults! Free popcorn was handed out along with free juice boxes and water. Air National Guard Band of the Great Lakes Concert on the Lawn THANK YOU


 DPI's Concert on the Lawn with the Air National Guard Band of the Great Lakes this past Friday was a HUGE success.  Thank you to the Air Nation Guard Band of the Great Lakes for coming out to the Perrysburg community to perform for us; the community really enjoyed the evening!  Also THANK YOU to our sponsors for yet again coming through and supporting DPI and our events to help continue to make the Perrysburg community a truly enjoyable community to be a part of.  THANKS to Swig, Commodore Way, American Rent-All, Brown Automotive, and the American Legion for sponsoring this event.  DPI and the community thoroughly enjoyed the concert!

Concert on the Lawn:

An Evening with the Air National Guard Band of the Great Lakes

On Friday, July 8th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm on the lawn of the Commodore Building The Air National Guard Band of The Great Lakes in cooperation with Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. will be providing a FREE concert consisting of a mixture of jazz, rock and roll, and patriotic music. 

The Air National Guard Band of The Great Lakes members are part-time military personnel with full-time civilian lives. The band is based out of the 180th Fighter Wing at Toledo Express Airport in Swanton, Ohio. They annually perform for civilian and military audiences in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Michigan. This is a FREE event for the whole family! Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets.

Outdoor Movie Night

Rock The Docks!!

Rock The Docks is almost a week away!! 


Rock the Docks is a fun night on the town for you and your friends! It all starts on Saturday June 11th from 7pm-12am on the Riverfront of Downtown Perrysburg at the bottom of Louisiana Ave. by the Perrysburg Boat Club. There will be Live entertainment featuring The Top Heavies and Zeddie. There will be both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and the admission is only $5! So plan on coming down June 11th starting at 7pm for a night of drinking, dancing, and fun!
